Hello I would like to say first how when installing any linux with pci=20
bios access support enabled the system reboots on me.
So secondly i would like to say i'm concidering buying a new motherboard
i found one for my amd K6 200 MHz by a brand "Gigabyte"
I would like to know if this motherboard is compatiable or I would be=20
wasting my money.

Are you using a pentium? Do you have a special chipset? Have you tr=
ied changing your bios settings to failsafe?
Have you looked to see if there't a bug fix for your bios? Have you =
tried compiling a kernel on a differant machine and porting it to you machine?

I used to have a gigabyte motherboard (486DX266 with PCI bus). I per=
sonally feel gigabyte bioses are well supported. I bought another because I =
couldn't get a bios upgrade to support EIDE (off board, and I didn't want to =
by a controller card. It would have costed the same as a Pentium 133 and boa=
rd).
I think they're cheap, and I probably won't buy another.

You may want to check out AMD's site first. They have a list of
"recommended" motherboards.
I wound up with a Tyan and a K6-266. So far, so good...
