The time I had that problem (5.0), I ignored it -- couldn't get it to go anway... until I went in to the configuration and changed something.. think it was something to do with network or sendmail.. caused the scripts to be run again and this time I kept the 'puter up for a while and the scripts completed by themselves... don't know how much of that was coincidence or how much of that would work for you.... ---------------------------------- http://benham.net/index.html> -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GCS d+(-) s:+ a29 C++$ UL++>++++ P+++$ L++>++++ E? I let it sit for a good while (at least 20 minutes) when it said it was going to start running scripts, then pressed enter as requested and continued. When I finally got through YaST and completed loging in, I checked Ctrl-Alt-F9', where I was greeted with a blank screen. Then I read the /var/log/Config.bootup file, and everything in it ended with the statement 'done', and at the very end it said 'finished', yet when I reboot my system, YaST still launches every time and says it probably has unfinished business, only to never come up with any, and never do anything. PS: When it says it has scripts to run, it says these will begin in one minute, yet many minutes later there is still zero HD activity, and all the while a message saying "press enter to continue" (which appears in about a second, not in one minute) stares me in the face. Thanks to everyone for all the help so far! I'm not home yet, however.
