[opensuse] No snapper config

I have been running Tumbleweed on a iMac and it had been going great. The other day I was doing an update. When I checked progress, I saw that the power was off! It is not a laptop. I have no idea how the power could have been off. I have to boot with a previous kernel. And I do not get wlan. So I thought I would undo the changes with snapper. The new kernel stops when it accesses the initrd. Unfortunately, it complains that there are no configs. I have never seen an openSUSE install not set up snapper. Could this have happened? Or could it be that it lost the config info when things went bad? I really would like to recover this install. (Do I have a backup? Umm.... It is just a home system used as a convenience.No data to protect. But, yeah, I know...) Is there any way that I can determine if snapper was in fact set up, but that the config just lost? [opensuse] printing PDF

Hi, On my Leap 42.2 laptop I can't print PDF's in their original size. When I print then they come out scaled to an A5 when the original is an A4. That's with Okular. Is there some configuration I miss ? I searched for some scale-effect but I seem not to find it. TIA. [opensuse] Kerberos & smartcard

Hi all, Anyone around who succeeded in doing a kinit, based on the credentials locked into a smartcard. Obviously not an amateur endeavour, so any experience with any distro / any version ? Started today exploring, with absolute zero access to the kerberos server. I can do a kinit providing username@REALM, and after supplying PWD, i do see with klist my TGT Q1) Is it enough to configure krb5.conf on the client? One search tells me: PKCS11:[module_name=]modname[:slotid=slot-id][:token=token-label][:certid=cert-id][:certlabel=cert-label] While another tells me that I also should provide the certificate of the kerberos-server Initially I'll test from inside, so hardly any firewall issues. But I know for sure, I'll have to ask to tweak our firewall, when trying from outside. Q2) Should opening of TCP-port 88 be enough, or is that impossible to predict? [opensuse] Domain name doesn't stick

I'm running 42.3. One thing I've noticed is that the domain name, as entered in the Domain Name box, in Yast Network Settings, doesn't last through a reboot. It also gets removed from /etc/resolv.conf. Any idea why this happens? [opensuse] best place for local configs

Hi, all! One biggie is where best to put localized configs -- hosts file, profile, language setting, etcetc -- so that they will not only survive an upgrade but be easy to keep and transfer into a fresh install again one day. This is on a personal laptop that will likely be one of at most a handful; I'm not running an enterprise, and while I like structure and organization the ROI of creating an enterprise-level framework just isn't there. What do you recommend? [opensuse] Grow ZFS filesystem on opensuse

As required I have modified the reservation and quota for the pool, however I'm missing the growfs command I have found by googling (and I can't find it in software.opensuse.org). May I ask for help? [opensuse] Is it possible to define br0 without IP ?

Hi, I have KVM guest running on SuSE Leap 42.3 PC (with 2 NICs), and current net setup (done by Yast) made a br0 bridged to eth0. Is it possible to remove IP from the br0 definition ? 2nd NIC on this server have IP 192.168.0.11, and is used for file server archive. So I would like to keep both NICs connected. Right now this PC have a network problem with name resolution or default route.
