[opensuse] Automatic system update

since more than a fortnight I receive an error message on an automatic update of my system: Leap 42.1 KDE ; the repository download.opensuse.org/repositories/games:/tools/opensuse_Leap42.1/ seems no longer to be available. It exists for Leap 42.2 and 42.3 but not for 42.1. Please tell me where I can find that library or if it no longer exists how I can get rid of the automatic update error message. [opensuse] plasma5 'blocked' - my fault, or error?

Hi list, I have just been annoyed by an unusable plasma desktop. I had started a program from the menu, the panel poped up (autohide) with a new icon in the tasklist - but I didn't see any window. The taskbar stayed greyed out, so i couldn't click on the icon there, rootwindow-clicks didn't produce reactions, etc. Plasma had just fallen dead. It took me quite a while to realize that the program the .desktop wanted to start did not exists (error in the package...), and plasma wanted to tell me this with a modal window that blocked all other actions until I click 'OK'. Just, it opened this window BELOW my browser window! Anyone seen that before, do I have some missconfiguration somewhere (where?), or is it a bug? [opensuse] PC fails to resume after suspend sometimes

My desktop PC fails to resume from suspend sometimes. I have my Leap system set to suspend after a period of idleness and it mostly recovers properly when I press a key afterwards, but sometimes it seems to have frozen and the only way I have found to recover it is to power cycle it. That's not fun and probably not that good for the filesystems etc. The problem started with Leap 42.1 but has persisted after my recent upgrade to 42.2. As far as i remember, it never occurred with older OS. The PC is an Acer Aspire XC-705. [opensuse] kvm pci passthrough not working

I use kvm openSUSE-42.2 as host and debian(jessie) as guest. Host PC has 2 NIC, one for openSUSE and other for debian(pci passthrough). Intel Corporation 82541PI Gigabit Ethernet assign to openSUSE. Intel Corporation 82579LM Gigabit Network assign to debian. Until kernel update to 4.4.70-18.9-default , debian recognize 82579LM and use it. Then 82579LM work well. I think this is new kernel problem. How can I use pci passthrou correctly ? The log has cero bytes, so I delete it, no info. I have also tried: ./Kodi_MovistarTV_Server.pvr -d:/home/cer/Fusion &> "$LOG" but it is the same, nothing is captured. Am I doing the pipe wrong? [opensuse] tablet as remote display

I am getting asked, more and more, about why we do not use a tablet as the 'display' in our measurement systems. WiFi issues and near-real-time measurement control issues aside ("but Roger, why does NetFlix work over WiFi?" ... sigh). So, here's my question to the list: if you had to set up a tablet to be a remote display (as opposed to having it run a native GUI app), what components might you choose. The machine that should have a tablet used this was will be running openSUSE with KDE as the desktop. The issues range from speed to responsiveness to not having a physical keyboard. If this is off-topic, I can move the discussion. [opensuse] Hpet issues again

This morning I opened the laptop lid to start work, and it was sooooooooo sloooooow it took 10 minutes to open a menu. Had to reboot. After reboot I used Journalctl to view the prior boot and noticed that there was a kernel oops just after resume, (nul pointer dereference at ~00001, followed by an abbreviated stack, and call trace etc. DWARF2 Unwinder stuck at some syscall-yada-fastpath And finally hpet increased min_delta_ns to 152745, which is higher than I've ever seen it set. I haven't had hpet issues on this machine for over 5 years. Opensuse 42.2, 4.4.62-18.6-default #1 SMP x86_64. Completely up to date.
