I tried to install 13.2 as well as Tumbleweed 201500418 on a E-Machine
with a 80 Gib free partition.
Their was an ethernet connection.
Both installations went fluently until, after the restart, they blocked
when the the big 'K' icon appeared.
Who can give me the suggestion how to proceed?
Tanks in advance

Hi,
does anyone have experience with WD Black2 Dual Drive (1 GB HDD + 120 GB SSD)?
http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1190 I'm thinking about buying
it for notebook (well, I'm not sure, it is expensive), but the WD's web says
it requires special software to access the HDD part, but it is available only
for Mac and Windows, so might be there is no way to use it on Linux...?
Greetings,
Vojtěch

Hello:
This is kind of off-topic here but I don't know where to ask it to get an answer.
More and more web sites have a design with gray/light-gray text on light background.
One example is this site:https://www.siteground.com/support but there are plenty of similar ones.
This design puts a lot of (unnecessary) stress on the eye.
Is this design type simply the result of stupidity, or is there valid rationale supporting it?
Thanks in advance,
Istvan

No, nothing here like that. I just set it up as a desktop system and it
didn't work. I don't use the network manager on this computer.
However, privacy addresses work on my notebook computer, where I do use
the network manager.

It is possible that, if I do understand you correctly, you are in search for scientific articles on ergonomics for webdesign.
A fast look with google under
visual ergonomics in web design
as: http://scholar.google.be/scholar?q=visual+ergonomics+in+web+design&hl=de&as…
gave the result (see link). I think the handbook is interesting for you, but you will see for yourself.
http://books.google.be/books?hl=de&lr=&id=WxJVNLzvRVUC&oi=fnd&pg=PA3&dq=vis…
Hope that helps.

Hello List
- yesterday , i plugged in a thumb drive into usb port , and then
commanded :
fdisk -l
- but usb thumb drive was not detected.
................
next , i commanded : mount /dev/sdc2 /mnt [sdc2 being a partition on
that same thumb-drive]
- result : /dev/sdc2 got mounted quite ok
................
- i just wondered , if the usb port is getting worn out , or , perhaps
, something happened
to cause "fdisk -l" to have a siesta
- maybe someone else experienced similar ??
............

Hello,
I have been trying to keep an eye on my wicked network configuration. In
my log files I have numerous instances of:
wickedd[3079]: wlp11s0: state changed COMPLETED -> GROUP_HANDSHAKE
wickedd[3079]: wlp11s0: state changed GROUP_HANDSHAKE ->
COMPLETEDwickedd[3079]: __ni_netdev_event(wlp11s0, idx=3, link-up)
wickedd[3079]: sending device event "linkUp" for
/org/opensuse/Network/Interface/3
Any input on what these might be, and what state is changing any why?
Thanks,
Don

I'm running 13.2 x64 on this particular box. I use thunderbird email. I
got a couple of email delivery errors this morning, yet I had sent no
emails for some time from this box. I know it's not uncommon for an
email address to be spoofed by spammers. I've not had this happen
before, at least not like this. I'm sending this email from my box at
work BTW. The details of the delivery error are below.

OK, whois says that "X-Originating-IP: from 93.168.159.108" is from
Saudi Telecom Company JSC. OK, no big surprise there. And it didn't
appear to actually come from my box.
But the "To:" list is what scares me. These are addresses from my
thunderbird address book. How can this be? Some of them I haven't sent
an email to in years. Others, recently. But never an email to more than
one of them at a time.
Dazed and confused

Hello All,
I've got a difficult one here I'm hoping to enlist some help in
figuring out. I dup'd webserver from opensuse 12.3 -> 13.1 and apache2
is throwing SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. when I attempt to start it
with my request-tracker virtualhost enabled. I am installing
request-tracker from the openSUSE devel:languages:perl repository,
fwiw I'm the package maintainer. I also have another 13.1 test system
running this RT packages and it's functioning w/out issue so this has
totally stumped me.
I've installed the debug repo's and all the needed packages and here
is the gdb backtrace output is below. This is very quickly getting out
of my depth so I'm hopeful someone can point me in the right
direction.
Output of '/usr/sbin/httpd2 -X' :
