[SLE] Pine - Check mail?

Hi, I have configured sendmail and, apparently, everything is fine as sending mail is concerned. That's I open pine, say, compose a message and get it delivered (everywhere). Now, using pine I am not able to check mail. For example, I send a message to my ISP account (anovo(a)y2knet.net) w/ pine, and pine does not accuse reception (even forcing checking ctrl+i), but if I use Kmail to check my account, it's there. (note: In pine I have SMTP = y2knet.net ) I followed 6.1 manual instruction to setup sendmail, but I must be missing a "big picture". What am I missing? You are right!! Works fine now - but it sure didn't when I tried every sensible (and a few others) combination from the manual. I now have a sneaky suspicion that I had added the disk= and bios= lines under the image= part... So thanks for putting me on track. There's, however, work arounds... I can't remember the http address... do a search on "rpopen" or "rpopen.tar.gz" w/ Yahoo, say. There's a webpage with the solution and explanations... If you don't find it, I can attach the tar file to a personal email to you. [SLE] Postgres fails at startup

Hello! I've installed Postgress from SuSE 6.1 CDs. During bootup I SOMETIMES receive a message telling, that service starting failed. Even if it says 'failed' Postgress service is working, because I can connect to any database,etc. Logs do not contain anything unusual. Even if it's not a real problem it doesn't look nice + I'm curious what's the matter. Could you help me with this problem? Here's one for you scripting gurus; I have a directory with a bunch of tarballs in it (GTK+ themes, actually). Each of the names is like this: theme-name[1].tar.gz I want the names to be like this: theme-name.tar.gz Can't I write a script that will automatically rename all of the files? I have around 300 of them so far, and I'd really rather not do it by hand :). PS: Yes, I changed my email address again.
