Siempre pasa una vez actualizas el kernel lo que comentas, lo que te toca es tambien bajar e instalar el kernel-source de la version del kernel que tienes, buscalo con you o con apt, una vez lo hayas bajado ejecutas normalmente el NVIDIA-NOSEQUE-XNOSEQUE.bin o como se llame y listo, la instalacion no falla (lo que te esta indicando el error es que no encuentra el kernel source) no tienes que tocar Xfreeconfig o como se llame Jaime V.

Parece que este kernel no es compatible con el driver. He visitado otra vez la pagina de nvidia y solo existe este driver. (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run) Dice que debo instalar las fuentes del kernel, pero si he cambiado de kernel ¿donde están esos fuentes?
¿Puedo volver al kernel antiguo de alguna manera? me imagino que volviendo a instalarlo del CD original. ¿Es mejor dejar el nuevo me imagino porque para eso lo ponen, no?
