Gude, folgendes Problem: ich hab auf meiner frisch installierten 7.1 die SuSEfirewall eingerichtet. Eigentlich sollte /sbin/SuSEfirewall ja bei einem connect aus /etc/ppp/ip-up ausgeführt werden (falls konfiguriert). Aber irgendwie tuts das nich. Ich wähle mich ein und will z.B. ein nslookup machen (lokaler DNS) und nix geht. Starte ich aber von Hand /sbin/SuSEfirewall und probiere es dann nochmal geht das wunderbar. Ich habe mir jetzt so geholfen das ich die Datei /etc/ppp/ip-up.local angelegt habe und daraus /sbin/SuSEfirewall aufrufe...damit klappts. Kann das jemand nachvollziehen? ciao

Hmmm...was für ein SDB Artikel denn? Wenn du dir mal die /etc/ppp/ip-up anschaust steht etwas weiter unten was über die SUSEfirewall....imho muss da ersma nix abgeändert werden.
Noch eine Frage an Dich: verwendest Du T-DSL?

Ich meinte nur den Eintag /sbin/SuSEfirewall. Dieser Eintrag ist wie ich meine auch der Grund dafür, daß die Firewall funktioniert, obwohl sie beim Booten einen Fehler meldet.

Allerdings kann ich nicht unbedingt erkennen, inwiefern er mich weiterbringen könnte, da er sich auf die SuSE 6.3 bezieht und weite Teile des Lösungsvorschlages daher nicht gangbar. Allerdings hat er insofern geholfen, als daß ich kontrolliert habe, ob das Modul ip_dynaddr geladen ist und: es nicht nicht! Nächster Schritt der Erkenntnis war, daß ich offenbar kein ipv4 mehr laufen habe sondern nur noch ipv6. Fragt sich, ob ich das hier nicht mehr brauche, und ob ich überhaupt ipv6 haben wollte, und ob es das eventuell der Grund für alle möglichen anderen Probleme ist, die ich Netzwerkbereich im Moment mit der SuSE 7.1 habe, und ob ich irgendwie wieder auf die ipv4 komme und dies nicht auch sollte ...
