Hallo Liste, neulich versuchte ich gemäss SuSE/Google den HP PSC 1100 zu konfigurieren. Auch das File hpoj 0.91 wurde installiert. Jedoch erscheint nach der Konfiguration die Fehlermeldung: "Apr 6 21:28:23 linux ptal-mlcd: ERROR at ExMgr.cpp:2525, dev=<mlc:usb:psc_1100@/dev/usblp3>, pid=798, e=19, t=1081279703 Couldn't find device! " Berechtigung stimmt , der kompatible Printertreiber DJ3320 wurde auch konfiguriert. Leider hats bis jetzt nicht geklappt. Ich weiss nicht mehr weiter .:( Hat jemand eine Idee? Hat jemand eine Idee? Ja, Du muß wohl kräftig mehr Info indiese Liste posten. Sicherlich hast Du den ganzen Installationsvorgang mitprotokolliert und postest einfach das Protokoll. Mich interessiert z.B. warum usblp3 verwendet wird. Sind schon drei Drucker lp0 bis lp2 installiert? Ist unter Suse nicht /dev/usb/lp0 ... der korrekte Pfad zu den devices?

Den Prozess habe ich vor paar Tagen und nach einer Woche Arbeit mit meinem PSC 1210 abgeschlossen. Als erstes wird das RPM hp-officeJet von SuSE runter. Dann installieren die Pakete hpoj(1) und hpijs(2). Am Besten mit checkinstall, wenn du nicht ein eigenes Spec-File fürs RPM erstellen willst. Danach rufst du als root ptal-init setup auf und folgst den Anweisungen. Es sollte eine Fehlermeldung kommen, dass das Modul scanner.o geladen ist. ptal-init soll es einfach entladen. Kommt die Meldung nicht, musst du danach in der Datei /etc/modules.conf die Zeile alias scanner off eintragen. Das verursacht nämlich wohl bei der SuSE-Version das Problem. Danach würde ich vorsichtshalber den Rechner neu starten. Sicher, ist sicher. Und dann kannst du mit ptal-connect -scan ptal-connect -print die Verbindung zum Scanner und Drucker prüfen. Wenn die Verbindung erfolgreich war, muss die die mit Strg+C beenden (ist nur eine Art Test). Dann musst du Cups mitteilen, dass root auch Einstellungen für Cups ändern kann. Das geht mit 'lppasswd -g sys -a root' als root. Danach musst du ein Passwort eingeben (mind. 6 Stellen). Jetzt müsstest du mit Cups (nicht YaST2!) den Drucker einrichten können. Der Scanner musste bei mir gar nicht eingerichtet werden. Das war soweit mein Vorgehen. Glaube ich zumindest. Ich habe so viel experimentiert, bis es lief. Wenn es Probleme gibt, kannst du den Thread(3) mal lesen. Ach, ja. Ich habe mir noch eine PPD-Datei erstellen lassen(4) und nach /usr/share/cups/model/HP/ kopiert.
