Ja. Der Codec (Inhalt) ist das eine, allerdings muss auch die Verpackung bekannt sein, sonst kommt man an die Daten gar nicht erst ran. Was Du noch probieren kannst, wäre das alte xine-VCD-Plugin: kaffeine vcdo://1 vielleicht kann das ja was damit anfangen (eventuell die Nummer hinten variieren).
Aber handelt es sich bei den Scheiben wirklich um SVCDs? Keine Abwandlungen wie XVCD oder sonstige nichtkonforme Varianten.
Wo finde ich die Spezifikationen dafür?

Wonach muß ich bei den CDs sehen?
Sorry, hatte bisher weder noch in eigenen Händen. Kann also nicht sagen, wie man die exakt erkennt.
