Hi!
Aparently, the svn is being moved to somewhere else. I have not received the notice email. Gabriel kindly forwarded it to me.
Where will go the translation repository, to "http://www.gitorious.org/users/new" or to "http://developer.berlios.de/%22? On which one do I need an account? On both? How do we use it/them? What software do we need to install?
This is very weird. No forewarning! No info. :-(
By the way, the gitorious link does not work, times out.

Nothing has been moved thus far. We are just evaluating possibilities... Thanks to coolo, who spends his time on this work!

Ok, then... Do I (we) need to register anywhere, or not yet? I only use the svn forge for translations, I don't use the buildservice at all.

It probably won't hurt to create an account at berlios.de, but thus far the decision is not final. We will use SVN, as it ever was. buildservice experience is no requirement.
One advantage is, when switching to a third party server, that there every community member could help with admin work (such as managing SVN accounts).
Cheers, Karl

The decision is taken that we want to move to berlios.de with the suse-i18n SVN repository. The migration process will probably start on Friday. During and after the migration process checkins are not possible; instead you will see a message warning you or pointing you to the new location.
Please, create an account for yourself at http://developer.berlios.de, then mail me your account names (that's the Novell account name and the new Berlios account name) and I'll give you commit rights at Berlios (probably next Monday).

Wonderful. Maybe we should split up upstream branch from lcn right at this moment since there will be reorganisation work anyway. What do you think?
P.S. Both my Novell and Berlios accounts are Minton.

Please keep us updated on what we have to do further. What docs to read, for instance.

Enabling the SVN is still work-in-progress. I'm not sure, whether all data are uploaded by now. Then the admins at Berlios must enable the SVN for public access.
I'll now start to add you all as developers...

I'll create the 11.2 pretty soon now. I think the zypper developers plan to publish an online update in the near future which will be the factory version. Thus messages in 11.2 and factory will be the same.

Now, 26 developers (translators) are registered at http://developer.berlios.de/projects/opensuse-i18n/ . Please check, whether you are properly listed. opensuse-i18n should be listed as one of "My Projects", if you log in and click:
http://developer.berlios.de/my/
If it is not available for you, please resend your account name to me or to the list.
Once the SVN is ready, I'll try to set the permission accordingly. BTW, I'd to "promote" 2 or 3 of you translators who are familiar with openSUSE and with this sourceforge-like collaboration system as "Project Admins". Any volunteers? What to you think?

You message is a little bit sparse ;) Does this mean you want to act as a Project Admin? If yes, fine with me. Then we will be 6 or 7 admins and this would be fine for the time to come, I'd say.

hum, so you don't have the 'Understand the risk' section?

Go to Preferences -> Advance -> Encrypt (or similar, I don't have the english version here). 'View Certificates' -> Servers -> Add Exception
