Common 11.x Gnome panel messed up in 11.2
As a combined and fast setup of a working and testing environment, I use to keep the /home file system common for separate root file systems containng openSUSE 11.1, SLED 11 and now 11.2 in a multiboot environment. I do of course accept that there might be single icons on the Gnome desktop that isn't "compatible" or actual on all versions. But the Gnome panel for 11.2 has been somewhat messed up and difficult to use in all my test versions since M6. When I open and minimize some windows, the icons might 'disappear' or being 'hidden' on the bottom panel. When I don't see them, I can neither click on the icons to resize the windows again. I've found out that the normal, fearly broad area for the windows list(?) containing open/minimized icons on the left halph part of the panel, rather is moved to a very narrow and limited part on the right side of the panel. I've tried to drag, move and rearrange icons and find the limit bar, but with limited success on 11.2. The panel works well however when booting 11.1 or sled11. Have some other here experienced similar behaviour? Is the Gnome panels incompatible or is there a method to clean up the panel again on 11.2? Thanks, Terje J.
