In my mind, even having it on Packman is a violation of the Broadcom license. I think the only legal way to run Broadcom wl is to download the source from Broadcom's site and compile it on your own machine! Rather than mounting from another installation, just add "brokenmodules=ssb" to the boot line. As a side effect, ssb will be added to the blacklist automatically. The fix for this problem has been submitted to the 2.6.34.Y stable tree. Once there, it will be propagated to openSUSE. The next kernel upgrade for 11.3 should fix the problem. 11.3 NET without kernel BUG

Hello, can I found a NET iso x86_64 without the Kernel Bug on any repositories? Weekly News Item for July 10

Sascha, Below is my report for this week's news. Larry ============================================ For general news about the openSUSE Testing Core Team, please see http://tinyurl.com/24n8ufe and the links within it. The Team held its regular IRC meeting last Monday to report our experiences with RC2. Of the bugs we have been tracking, many have been fixed, and we did not find any new ones that could be considered "show stoppers". From our experiences, it appears that 11.3 will be a high-quality release. Stephan Kulow has identified the build for the iso images that are likely to be the official 11.3 release. The NET and DVD images for i586 and x86_64 architectures have been made available to our Team, and we will be testing over the weekend. Availability of some 11.3 GM builds

Hi, The openSUSE 11.3 GM candidates for i586 and x86_64 DVD (Build0702) and those for NET install (Build0701) are available for downloading from Bernhard Wiedermann's server. The Live CD images have not yet been pushed to the mirrors. To keep from overloading Bernhard's bandwidth, we are not publicizing the URL, but you can write me to get it if you want to do some early testing. The installation test runs are reported to look good. I will be installing from the NET install disks shortly. Fail to install 11.3 RC2 in HP Mini 311

Hello list, I try to install 11.3 RC2 in HP Mini 311, Intel Atom N280, with Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11b/g. Using KDE Live CD, YaST stop at 41%. Try ctrl+alt+f1 to see what happen in the text mode cannot work also. Try to install it from DVD, Installation went ok. But when I reboot it, the boot process stop after loading b43-pci-bridge. I can see it when selecting failsafe in grub.
