Leap 15.6: Ethernet deactived when running on battery power

On my notebook, when connected to external power, "Wired Ethernet" is/will be activated . When running on battery power, "Wired Ethernet" is deactivated! What do I need to do to activate Ethernet when running on battery power? Thanks in advance! PS: "external power" is set in the BIOS, meaning the battery is charged up only to a certain percentage, when the power adapter is connected.

Most likely it is done by your BIOS.

At least, show logs around the time when it happens.
Thanks in advance!

Yes, it is the BIOS. Changing the "Charger"-settings did the trick. Thanks again! franz

On a laptop, you might have "tlp" installed, which is designed to control these things. Inspect the configuration. Or maybe it is not installed, and you could use it instead of the bios. At least on Leap 15.5. I read things recently about using something else, I don't know what has been or will be decided. <https://lists.opensuse.org/archives/list/factory@lists.opensuse.org/message/DVDMQJ6QKQPRQBHCZCUKXDF3SUCTSBRX/> -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
