sending messages from o.o account
Hi, AFAIK openSUSE does not tun its own SMTP server, so if one wants to send a mail he has to use a different (ono-oS) SMTP server. This leads to issues, as one smaller mail provider uses means of sender authentification (see below) in between. How can we deal with these authentifications when using a o.o address? Thanks Axel -- host gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com [66.102.1.26] SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined end of data: 550-5.7.26 This message does not pass authentication checks (SPF and DKIM both 550-5.7.26 do not pass). SPF check for [opensuse.org] does not pass with ip: 550-5.7.26 [178.254.4.101].To best protect our users from spam, the message has 550-5.7.26 been blocked. And the log is...? You have written your log entries below your signature. Good mail clients delete the signature and everything below it, so I can not see it here. Please don't write anything important below your signature. Open a ticket about your issue (email admin@opensuse.org). IMHO, the only true solution is running our own smtp service for these addresses. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.3 x86_64 at Telcontar)

good mail clients show the signature, but remove everything below the separator when answering the mail. And this was my intention (writing the log below the separator), knowing that not everybody on the lists knows how to quote and trim an answer to a mailing list [1]

Probably, but I seem to remember that the admins were not happy about that... Cheers Axel [1] https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Mailing_list_netiquette#Quoting
