After installing Leap 15.4, zypper and YaST can't see repositories.
Hello, I have been having trouble getting zypper and YaST to see the openSUSE repositories from Leap 15.3, and now after installing Leap 15.4 into newly formatted partitions as well. I'm getting a message that tells me that they are trying to communicate with privoxy, which uses port 8118: | ~ | ● zypper ref | Retrieving repository 'Update Repository (Non-Oss)' metadata ....................................................................................................[done] | Building repository ''Update Repository (Non-Oss) cache .........................................................................................................[done] | Problem retrieving files from 'Update Repository (Non-Oss)'. | Download (curl) error for 'http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/15.4/non-oss/repodata/repomd.xml': | Error code: Connection failed | Error message: Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 8118 after 0 ms: Connection refused | Please see the above error message for a hint. | Skipping repository 'Update Repository (Non-Oss)' because of the above error. | Some of the repositories have not been refreshed because of an error. | @19:18:51,root@pinto rc=4 Just to be sure, I checked to see if it's even installed: | ~ | $ zypper se -i privoxy | Loading repository data... | Reading installed packages... | No matching items found. | @19:20:08,leslie@pinto rc=104 Nope. I grepped the zypper .conf files for proxy and 8118, but found no matches. Can anyone out there explain where zypper is getting the idea that it needs to use privoxy? My mistake; apparently I had recently set environment variables http_proxy and https_proxy to 127.0.0.1:8118. (Why? I dunno.) Clearing them fixed the problem. Leslie On 2022-06-10 19:47:45 J Leslie Turriff wrote: tde-config: 1.0
