15.4 beta, every few days updates trickle in, how and why are these packages released?
Support, ever since my trial with 15.4 beta clean install, there were a few packages that only gotton installed hours days etc after the initial deployment of 15.4beta. why where these packages trickling into this system, I had thought the publishing concept was to release a beta and then again the whole deal of packages for RC stage and for final goldmaster or something? was the set of packages for beta not very much completed or released as whole as these select packages came trickling in? ty

The Beta is evolving constantly. The iso is also updated frequently. That you get those updates constantly is proof that the contributors are contributing :-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.3 x86_64 at Telcontar)

We changed the process a few releases back to be more like the process we use for tumbleweed for non SLE packages so its more of a rolling model where if a package needs updating for the beta then it goes into a staging and when everything in the staging area passes it gets added to the main repo. The counter to that is SLE packages which is a large percentage which have been synced over as a big group waited till everything is passing then added For the RC we just got the last big sync from SLE, we can't change SLE packages anymore so that won't happen again and I imagine everything else will get slightly quieter or will just start going into update repos. Once Gold Master is marked then there won't be more changes, that bit hasn't changed.
