I too, prefer ext4.

A snapshot is not a backup - drives fail and all data is lost.

Knowing how to backup and restore an ext4 system and is a safer option in my opinion.

I test on a virtual machine first - if if fails - I restore the last vdi backup ( done every 2 days by me ).

It is also obvious to me to prefer ext4 over btrfs :-p

Only you could prefer ext4 over btrfs -- and only you could believe
there are "obvious" reasons for doing so.

There are so far 2 people with that preference in this thread alone. You do a poll of everybody and find out >:-P

There are distros out there not preferring to install on btrfs.
