rebooted to a live cd and was able to access 192.168.1.3 server but problem workstation local address was not 192.168.1.10 but 192.168.1.83.
if that clears the waters some ???
Why don't you try changing the problem workstation's IP address manually to something other than 192.168.1.10?
I did that based on the above and it does work, but causes many other problems with nis and cifs and sshfs :(. temporary solution. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
