Hi
Since i downloaded a file to allow me to use Google Earth from an opensuse developer repo using 1-click, i've only been able to boot using 6.4 kernels.
The system starts to boot then hangs and the keyboard is dead. It happens after i get a list of ACPI errors (i've always had these) displayed a second time.
There was similar report on forums, kernel 6.5.x failed to boot, booted with acpi=off. What is missing is a link to bug report :) Thanks, glad to know i'm not the only one. I was trying to find data i could add to a bug report hence my email.
https://forums.opensuse.org/t/unable-to-boot-kernel-6-5-2-1-1-after-zypper-d up-today/169095/29 I tried "acpi=off" previously and got the same results as the poster in the forum you listed with horrible display resolutions but i haven't tried it since this issue which i shall do now.
I've tried to use "journalctl -k" to check what happened but it never seems to have the data for the failed boot.
I'm at a bit of a loss as what to do/check, can anyone give me any pointers? (bear in mind i'm not knowledgable at this level of the OS)
regards
