Thanks for the location Andrei, It looks like the distro installation media are build by kiwi-ng Yes, I am hoping to use autoyast to control basic install to stand up the servers, then configure them with ansible remotely. Maybe I do not understand what you mean by adding control file - I do not believe that I could simply add/change the installation iso9660 image. I probably need to re-create the image with the changes. The basic idea is to add nfs/http://autoyastFile to boot/install options, change the default boot order to install and add post install script (to shutdown instead of reboot). I will take any sensible advice ... no need to reinvent the wheel for a trivial change such as changing boot option on installation media Thanks again, Tomas On Sun, 2020-06-14 at 07:29 +0300, Andrei Borzenkov wrote:

Hi,
I might have asked similar before - if I did - I did not get anywhere.
Could anyone point me to some useful resources/repo/mailingList about how/where is openSuSE 15.2 installation image put together?
I would like to make fairly trivial modification to the upcoming installation media, so that I can use it for basic headless installation.
There used to be mksusecd tool, but it looks like that it was last used for openSuSE 13.x series. I suspect that kiwi-NG maybe used to create installation media theses days, but I cannot find 15.2 installation media description.
Educated guess:
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:Leap:15.2/000product
I also went through the mailing lists and OBS projects and I cannot find the 15.2 project. factory=thumbleweed .... so I am not sure where would be the best place to ask.
Anyway, I have bunch of fairly inaccessible closet servers - it is not practical to attach a screen to them and they do not have remote management like Aspeed 2500 (cost + low power). At the same time, I would love to stay fairly aligned to to standard 15.2 distro and its fairly polished installation.
In this case did you consider autoyast? You could add control file to installation media and this likely requires much less efforts than rebuilding the whole DVD from scratch. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
