Hello All,
I get following error = https://paste.opensuse.org/36757885
You can not use "send emails trough your SMTP server", because there is no such server.
I tried changing ports, Allow less secure apps: ON in my Google account is set, tried to change connection method. I use web based version of GMAIL. I don't use any email clients.
As per the reference links shared by Andrei, I guess Google has changed it's terms. And with that regard, it is no longer possible to RELAY emails over Google's SMTP server when the alias is from another domain i.e. non gmail address.
What I have is: On the webmail I hit settings, then all settings. Then I go to "Accounts and import." Going down a bit, I see: Send mail as: Carlos E.R <.....@gmail.com> default edit_info learn more (1) Carlos E.R <.....@opensuse.org> make_default edit_info delete Carlos E.R <.....@users.sourceforge.net> make_default edit_info delete add another email address When replying to a message (*) Reply from the same address the message was sent to ( ) always reply from default address (currently .....@gmail.com) However, I do not see in the webmail the manner to change the "From". If I hit "edit_info" in the section above, I get a yellowish window that says: Edit email address edit information for .....@users.sourceforge.net Name [Carlos E. R. ] .... [*] Treat as an alias. Learn more (2) Specify a different "reply-to" address (optional). The "Learn more" (2) link points to https://support.google.com/a/answer/1710338 "Learn more" (1) links opens a pop-up. Ah, I can expand it to a window, it is https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22370?hl=en Playing on the reply box, I suddenly got my from changed to my alias in the webmail. I don't know how I did it. Let me try again. Hit reply. Hover the mouse over the "To" field on the pop up, then click on the "o Got it. Click on the To address, which in this case is "oS-sup". I then get an expanded header: Carlos E.R <.....@opensuse.org> with a drop down lists to other aliases. To oS-SUP However, the message to which I'm replying was sent to the list (did not arrive) from ".....@opensuse.org", so the clause "Reply from the same address the message was sent to" is hitting. Note: that email sent from the webmail has not arrived yet at the list. List problem today? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
