That's not "sending e-mail from gmail with another From address", this is "using gmail SMTP server as relay". Yes, it is possible, but to my best knowledge
Google automatically rewrites the From line of any email you send via its SMTP server to the default Send mail as email address in your Gmail or Google Apps email account Settings.
Which rather defeats the purpose of sending using different e-mail in the first place.
I do not have a second account to test (or better I do have but they are using an external SMTP server).
I send mail, this one also, via gmail. The way is to configure postfix on your local machine to use gmail as a relay relayhost = [smtp.gmail.com]:587 have been doing it that way for years. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-support+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-support+owner@opensuse.org
