Re: [opensuse-security] Did the last kernel update break v4l?
Sorry, forgot to CC the list! Forwarding.
When I try to launch xawtv, I get: This is xawtv-3.95, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.18.8-0.11-default) /dev/video0 [v4l2]: no overlay support v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway ioctl: VIDIOC_G_STD(std=0xbfb9fae4 [PAL_G,PAL_D,PAL_D1,PAL_K,PAL_N,PAL_60,NTSC_M,NTSC_M_JP,?,?,SECAM_B,SECAM_H,SECAM_K,SECAM_K1,?ATSC_8_VSB,ATSC_16_VSB,(null),(null),(null),(null),(null),(null)]): Invalid argument ioctl: VIDIOC_S_STD(std=0x0 []): Invalid argument
The 2.6.18.8-0.11 kernel was released incorrectly, aka should nopt have been released. It was on the servers for like 1 - 2 hours, before it was removed again.
Thank you for your reply! I downgraded to 2.6.18.8-0.10-default, but still get the same behaviour. Also, the ZMD software updater now shows 2.6.18.8-0.11-default as an available update (I'm still running SuSE 10.2, planning to upgrade soon but can not do it just yet). Any hints would be very appreciated! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-security+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-security+help@opensuse.org
