Postfix + sasl on 8.1?

Hi there, while setting up smtp-auth, i noticed that postfix shipped with 8.1 is compiled against sasl1 but nearly all other things like cyrus against sasl2. Anyone knows a way to put them together without recompiling stuff? i don't want to start own repositores ;) I just want 'virtual' mail users for security reasons but this seems not to be possible with 8.1? or at least not in an easy way.
