Any and all suggestions welcomed.
I would suggest using OpenSSH. There are SuSE RPMs available. SSH2 is *not* free software nor is it free to use. READ the licensing! It's very restrictive. SSH has not been free since version 1.2.12. OpenSSH is a project that forked off from the OpenBSD project. Their goal was to create a viable free alternative to SSH. I know many people who run SSH1 & 2 in violation of the licensing agreement. I think that many people erroneously think that because a piece of software is OpenSource (you get to see the code) that it automatically means it is free to use. The Linux kernel is Free software licensed under the GNU GPL. OpenSSH is also Free software - BSD license. SSH is not. Check out www.openssh.com By using it you'll be supporting Free software. Mario PS. There are plenty FREE (as in cost) clients available for Win*, Mac, etc. that will work with OpenSSH. I know of NO free clients that work with SSH2. You'd have to pay for a client like SecureCRT if you have any Windows machines.
