Postfix problem

Hello List, I still have problem with my Postfix installation. I can send/receive mail locally but remote users can not. With "telnet localhost 25" i can write mail, but "telnet 1.2.3.4 25" says "Connection refused". SMTPD_LISTEN_REMOTE = yes. What could be the problem? TIA istvan

Hi all ! I configured the archive /etc/aliases to send mails of root for a common usuario, however as this configured the variable relayhost in main.cf, seems that the archive is not accepted aliases. Is this possible ??? :-\ Someone help me ??????? Márcia :-) thanks

have I been invaded?

I'm using SuSE 8.2 For several days I have noticed my /var/log/messages file has been devoid of the usual messages indicating someone has been looking at my ports. I'm using Shorewall and droping everything but what i need yet no more notices in the message file. Today I looked at my route and got this: Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 192.168.1.0 * 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0 user-0ceicg0.ca * 255.255.254.0 U 0 0 0 eth1 default user-0ceicg1.ca 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth1 I had never seen the user-0ceicg1.ca thing. eth1 is my connection to the net via cable modem. A few weeks ago I discovered I had been rootkitted and reformatted and reinstalled everything on this machine, Does anyone recognise what has happened to my route tables? TIA Richard

ip_conntrack_ftp

hello list. i seem to have a recurring problem with the ip_conntrack_ftp-module. it was not loaded by default, so i've put a line into the iptables-script , which does a : modeprobe ip_conntrack_ftp it should then track all incoming ftp-connections, ports source/destination high above 1024. but at all, it does not work. the lsmod says : ip_conntrack_ftp 4000 0 (unused) ip_conntrack 19724 2 [ip_conntrack_ftp ipt_state] ftp-users can login, but get no data-connection :( the basic question is : where is the dokumentation ? :)) do i have to activate the module with different switches than the iptables -m switches ? thx.gerhard -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Vladimír Dvorak [mailto:dvorakv@suse.cz] Gesendet: Donnerstag, 5. ActiveDirectory Authentication

Has anyone ever set up SuSE to authenticate via Microsoft ActiveDirectory? I have had success with this using Red Hat 7.3, but there are a few differences on my SuSE 8.2 machine. Any thoughts? Thanx! Greg Jamison

hello list can one of you explain me, how can I simply setup a virtual email server with cyrus and authentication based on mysql? How can I install the module pam_mysql into SuSE_8.1 without recompile the pam and mysql packages. Thanks for all hints. /mario
