This is more an oversight. These were added mainly to allow building these libraries with newer-than-stock compilers on Leap and SLE. We have never really followed up on this as it would have made the number of packages to ship explode. In order to determine for which libraries this actually makes sense, we'd have to create meaningful benchmarks for each. All this still builds for a 'stock CPU' ie none of these builds are able to take advantage of the nice optimization features newer (or specific) CPUs are providing. Cheers, Egbert.
