Hello,
I've recently installed this board (http://www.sapphiretech.com/uk/products/products_overview.php?gpid=238&grp=3) on an Ubuntu 8.04 system using the radeonhd 1.2.1 driver package from https://launchpad.net/~tormodvolden/+archive.
My system has two identical flat panel monitors attached to the DVI ports on the card and both are receiving a signal at their native resolution. However, they are currently operating in clone mode whereas I wish to use them as one large desktop spanning both monitors. Following the instructions on the wiki, I have tried setting the HPD option to both swap and off, but neither option results in any difference to the output.

I have tried explicitly specifying the port to monitor mappings in the Device section as above, using the output in Xorg.0.log as a guide to the port names I should be using. If I set the RightMonitor to use 'monitor-DVI-I_1/digital' I get a message that the port name isn't valid. Leaving out the options completely results in the same clone behaviour.

I have also tried using the latest fglrx driver from AMD (http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/linux64/linux64-radeon.html), but it causes the machine to reboot as soon as X starts.
Please let me know if I can provide any other information to assist with the diagnosis of this problem.

As I'm not that familiar with git, can you give me the magic
invocations how to get the RS780 branch from the repository?
The only thing I managed to execute is " git clone
git://git.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-video-radeonhd "
I don't see any other branches than master;

recently I've bought new LG's LCD L1953TR with VGA+DVI-D connector.
Connection via VGA output/cable is OK, all modes and frequencies works fine.
Connection via DVI-D output/cable has some problems:
* 720x400 - L1953TR does not show anything (LCD swithes to "sleep mode")
* 640x480 - L1953TR shows picture for 5~7 seconds, then the screen is blank
for 3~5 seconds, than the picture for 5~7 seconds, and so on...xrandr -s 0
It seems like "timing" problem/issue, because in 640x480 there are some "bad
blinking pixels" - I saw those "bad blinking pixels" at graphic cards which
had too much overclocked memory chips.

Hello,
I'm trying to see whether I can use radeonhd with my Ati Mobility
Radeon 3650 card. Initially it seems that the current 1.2.1 git
version of radeonhd doens't support 3650.
So I tried to patch rhd_id.c and add support but it didn't quite work ;)
So I'm trying to find more information about getting radeonhd and
mobility 3650 to work together. I've attached Xorg.0.log which is
where I found this email address I'm sending email to.

This PCIe card "Palit HD2600XT Sonic" is not producing any output on my
Sony XBR LCD monitor via its internal HDMI connector.
The device has three physical connectors: HDMI, DDVI, VGA. BIOS displays
on the HDMI port as well as the Ubuntu Hardy console. When I load X the
display goes back and the VT console cannot be restored.

Dear all,
Just wanted to let you know that this integrated chipset works well(*)
with current git radeonhd, provided the following line is added to
rhd_id.c
RHD_DEVICE_MATCH( 0x9610, RHD_RV620 )
(*) by well, I mean that X is fully usable on a DVI 1680x1050 monitor,
even for full screen videos. And better yet, X server can restart
without crashing the PC, which fglrx can't do as of now.
