Description: Use the existing python-jupyter_ipdb package. All stuff jupyter- related, which all IPython stuff is, uses the jupyter_ prefix and has for a long time now.
Changing this would require reworking a large chunk of the jupyter- related packages, and would lead to a ton of ambiguity regarding what is really jupyter-related and what is really ipython-related.
Well it will be more work but the policy quite well states that we should use upstream names. Also no other distribution decided to prefix stuff with jupyter apart from us which means that on debian/fedora etc you install python3-ipdb.
Take a look how unhappy the pypi checker is with the custom names in jupyter project is for example what it can cause.
Basically we can't be the special kid on the block and invent our package names to have it pretty. But I agree that the ipdb should probably be moved to the jupyter.
Also I am not proposing mass-rename but they should be simply moved to upstream names whenever someone feels like it.
Cheers
Tom
