Hi,

I have a problem with the name-resolution if I  use a MagicUser (e. g. anonymous@ftp.suse.com):

For example:

# ftp ftp-proxy 3121
Connected to ftp-proxy.grundig.de.
220 ftp-proxy FTP server (Version 1.7 - 1999/10/22 09:22:47) ready.
Name (ftp-proxy:mehl): anonymous@ftp.suse.com
501 Invalid destination in user name.
Login failed.
ftp>

but no problem with IP-addresses, for example:

# ftp ftp-proxy 3121
Connected to ftp-proxy.grundig.de.
220 ftp-proxy FTP server (Version 1.7 - 1999/10/22 09:22:47) ready.
Name (ftp-proxy:mehl): anonymous@209.144.167.150
331 Guest login ok, send your complete e-mail address as password.
Password:
230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply.
Remote system type is UNIX.
Using binary mode to transfer files.
ftp>

I am working with Linux 6.3. There is no problem with nslookup and so on. I spent a lot of time
to solve this problem for my self but I could not find the solution.

Thanks
Hans Mehl
