Hello, I think that openSUSE is a distributions for individual users, who want freedom of choice, a rich software repository and the possibility to actually feel free of doing what they want with their PC, even if they're not experienced users. I seriously like this ideas! The "openSUSE - Choose to be free!" is my favorite! "openSUSE - Linux for open minds" is great as well, but the other one sounds still better to me. Really good ideas Alberto!

Sorry if off-topic. But I don't agree. Novell is a company, and cares its business. Till now all the fear generated by the MS-N agreement has proven to be unmotivated, and it should stay out of the decisions made by the community and the project team. OpenSUSE is free and open, so there's no hypocrisy. Off topic, but me thinks Novell don't give a hoot about SUSE or the OS community or Linux. They just want to sell their security solutions and directory services to enterprises and they use SUSE & their OS/Linux involvement to add a touch of fake feel good to their corporate persona. (Just my opinion.) If Novell wouldn't give a hoot about SUSE why did they buy SUSE Linux and why did Novell launch the openSUSE project? As openSUSE is the base OS for all Linux offerings by Novell it is very important to Novell. I'd see as a fake engagement just having openSUSE but Novell/SUSE opens up the whole development more and more (mailinglists, project meetings and very important the openSUSE Build Service) and work together with the community. Yes, this investment shall return some money through the business products - but is this a bad thing? From what money do you live?

I personally would vote for a slogan phrase with Linux on it. I find a lot of people have heard of Linux and we should take advantage of that, so they immediately recognize openSuse as "some sort of" Linux. I find Ubuntu's "Linux for Human Beings" pretty successful. Just a thought... Ricardo
