Can I make a suggestion? Yes, of course! Over the next couple of months, let's give increased attention to the GSoC students. We have 16 projects this year and doing an article profiling 2-3 students at a time would be very beneficiaial. Doing so would make them feel even more involved in the project and continue to stay with us long after their student work is done.
Sounds great! Do you (or someone other) have a list of our students, so that I can easier contact them? I will publish the interview with Jeff Mahoney as soon as possible and try to contact some students in the next time. I cc´ed opensuse-project and if anyone is interesting in interviewing some students, just goahead and do your interviews! If it´s necessary, I will help you coordinating it on this thread. ;) I published the questions here: http://en.opensuse.org/People_of_openSUSE_question_sheet and can make a cross to my to-do-list now, because I wanted to do it so many times before but ever forget it... Have fun!
Would you consider doing this for PooS?
Thanks, Bryen

Kim, I don't have all the contact info, but the 16 projects are listed here: http://www.google-melange.com/gsoc/projects/list/google/gsoc2011 You have to type opensuse into the box for organization. I created this wiki page: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:People_of_openSUSE_GSoC_Special to let the people know about it. I think we need to create a special question sheet for our coders and need to make some changes into the organisation of the whole thing. I really would like to offer it as a special and not as the "normal" kind of people of openSUSE because so we can also promote our projects and let the GSoC people know, that their something special (I know, everyone is special, but I think you get me...) so for from me, anything you would like to add? - kdl -- Kim-Dennis Leyendecker openSUSE Ambassador / openSUSE Wiki Team DE HAVE A LOT OF FUN! http://www.opensuse.org | http://www.suse.de Have you tried SUSE Studio? Vincent and Pavol should be able to help you with contacting them. Great idea! Andreas
