Do you have the feature number for us?

Um, the HtML you can write there, is not really HTML. It is a very limited subset. Supporting <I> tag would be an enhancement request, I am afraid.

Hi,
I created one (my first) on behalf of somebody else who is not a member. Thanks for doing that.
I set the priority to "neutral", but it came out as "important". I can't change it. How do I do it? Hmm, interesting. Sounds like a bug. It is OTOH unusual to use 'Neutral' as a requester because, well, if you are not passionate about 'your' feature, why are you proposing it?
Also, I put the last line in "cursive", and I got the error: Error There were errors:
* The description is not valid richtext: Error: No declaration for element i at :0.
Um, the HtML you can write there, is not really HTML. It is a very limited subset. Supporting <I> tag would be an enhancement request, I am afraid. No, just use <em> </em>.
See http://en.opensuse.org/OpenFATE/Documentation at the bottom for a complete list of accepted tags. The list is somehow 'interesting' ;-) Fate has come quite a way and started as a successor of another system where we had to stay compatible. That is the explanation, not the excuse, for this. I would love to change that one day... regards, Klaas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Because it is not "mine", but somebody else's who has no create privileges, and asked for someone to post it for him. Why should I feel passionate about something that is not mine? O:-) I assume that after creating it, he can take the reporting from there, and change the priority if he wants. Anyway, it got changed from neutral to important when I hit the italics error. I have verified this by going back (to previous page) in firefox: I entered "neutral", and the system changed it to "important" when it complained the error.

I don't know html. I simply selected the text and hit the provided button labelled "I": if italic does not work, the button should be removed from the interface.

It is email address from ICS (Novell) login. OpenSUSE wiki login offers Manage Account, while bugzilla login has it hidden under Create Account (probably, I didn't actually log in to check), or use Forgot All link that will give you page where you can see Edit My Profile link. I don't know how the heck that links changes to a Novell link, but it does. I'm in paranoid mode, so I'll think it is a "phising" page that emulates Novell page, somehow.

I'm not sure that is the place to change account configuration , but create a new one. I'm very much afraid of touching anything there and loosing my account with all data :-( Sorry, no, unless Novell certifies that is the correct procedure. Furthermore, I'm hesitant to change my address to my openSUSE alias, when there is no automated interface to change the openSUSE alias to send to a different physical address, like if I change my ISP, or my ISP stops working or something. In those cases, AFAIK, we have to write to the board to do the manual change for us... I'm too sleepy to think properly. I'm off to bed. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. That page is a legitimate page, however the URL is apparently not constructed properly and that results in the phishing attempt message that iChain returns. I don't see a way to get into the account details from the openSUSE website login. For example, through the wiki you can edit your wiki preferences, but that doesn't get you to the iChain account details. opensuse.org uses the login information stored for www.novell.com. You can visit www.novell.com, drop the menu down, and select "login" to get to the account management pages. That would be the safest way to go. Once logged in, drop the menu down and select "Edit my profile". From there you can make changes to your account. Now that said, I don't know if that updates your bugzilla e-mail preference or not. I can check with our IS&T group on Tuesday next week (Monday's a holiday in the US) unless someone else here knows the answer to that or is willing to try it with their account. Since my account is an employee account, changing my e-mail address might have undesirable side effects for me (I doubt it, but I'm not 100% certain), so I'd rather not risk that. I do know that you can change your e-mail address for the novell.com website, and that there are systems that that data is pushed to, but whether bugzilla is in that list or not is something I don't know. For me it works, though it returns just login page, not the link I put in tinyurl.

When you choose login from http://en.opensuse.org/ , but not rush to log in the wiki, then you can see on the left side few menu items. One is Manage Account.
For example, through the wiki you can edit your wiki preferences, but that doesn't get you to the iChain account details.
That is after login.
opensuse.org uses the login information stored for www.novell.com.

It is updated on the spot. I mean, after you change email, you still have to confirm - validate - new email, but after that you can instantly use bugzilla and new email will be used. I did change recently, so I'm sure how it works. ... -- Regards, Rajko http://news.opensuse.org/category/people-of-opensuse/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

So that others know how to do it, these are my notes: In <https://bugzilla.novell.com/index.cgi>, at the bottom, "Tips", select "Edit My Profile" (<https://secure-www.novell.com/selfreg/jsp/protected/manageAccount.jsp>) Change the email address. The snag is that it now wants my street address and company, which previously didn't require. You should then receive an email in your new address, with a link and instructions. After that, when you log it to enter a bug or browse, you should see your new address. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. Never heard of http://tinyurl.com . The way to shorten extra long URLs that otherwise break in multiple lines. Though, the link I transformed into http://tinyurl.com/qtf6pj is different form one that I can see now. Probable reason is java that is used by login page and doesn't work without clicking on the links in the login page. -- Regards, Rajko http://news.opensuse.org/category/people-of-opensuse/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

It uses a standard part of the HTTP protocol known as forwarding. The server (in this case, the one at tinyurl.com) reads the code ("qtf6pj", in this case) that is the key for the ultimate destination URL, looks up that destination URL and returns a special response that includes that URL to the browser which then transparently (i.e., without any overt indication to you that this has happened) retransmits the GET request to the "redirect" URL. The browser also replaces the original tiny URL in the address bar with the new one. If you don't like having no idea where you're going to be taken, you can go to the TinyURL home page and set it to always show you the redirect URL first and allow you control over whether or not you continue on to that destination.
