Re: [opensuse-project] instlux and openSuSE10.3: report 2

I haven't thought about that. Add it as a feature request if you want it to be evaluated. thanks. jordi ----- Mensaje original ---- De: scsijon <scsijon@net2000.com.au> Para: opensuse-project@opensuse.org Enviado: viernes, 20 de abril, 2007 13:35:10 Asunto: Re: [opensuse-project] instlux and openSuSE10.3: report 2 At 07:36 AM 4/20/2007, Jordi Massaguer wrote:
Hi all,
I am sending to you the third report about the development of instlux (a linux from windows installer) and the integration with OpenSuSE10.3.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1- New features
1- Instlux can now be installed on a SATA disc (that was the most annoying bug). 2- Instlux can now be installed on a Windows98 PC (thanks to Daniel Pedigo). 3- Instlux installs even when Windows is not at the first partition. 4- Instlux supports now the OpenSuSE10.3 Alpha3 (CDROM and Internet installations) 5- Instlux supports 20 languages in one single installer and chooses the one your windows is using. 6- Instlux supports 32 and 64 bits. There is a version for 32 and a version for 64.
You can access the latest development builds at:
http://instlux.sourceforge.net/testing_builds/
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2- Getting the sources and compiling them
You can access the code at: http://instlux.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/instlux/
In order to compile it, you need the nsis for linux: http://instlux.sourceforge.net/dependencies/nsis-2.18-alt1.i586.rpm
and python installed.
Then, just run the make_instlux.py script. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3- Where to get more information and collaborate

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4- And now what else?
The 32 bits version is ready for being integrated into the OpenSuSE build system. So the next step should be told by the opensuse project manager.
I have not tested the 64 bits version as I do not have any 64 bit computer. So I will prefer to either test it myself or hope that someone at the opensuse community wills to do so, before integrating it into the OpenSuSE build system. Anyone?
