This is a reminder regarding the openSUSE Board elections:
If you want to candidate for a board position, you still can announce
that until January 4th, 2011. Please contact election-officials(a)opensuse.org
if you have any questions. The board has 2 seats to get elected in january.
This is your chance to play a key role in the openSUSE project and help pushing
All openSUSE members are eligible to vote. So if you are a openSUSE contributor
but have not yet applied for membership, do so now! 
The next steps in the election are:
January 4th, 2011
* Notification of intent to run, and application for an openSUSE membership close (end
of phase 0).
January 5th, 2011 (Phase 1)
* Start of 1 week campaign for the candidates before the ballots open (campaign might
be done until ballots close).
January 12th, 2011 (Phase 2)
* Ballots open
January 26th, 2011
* Ballots close (end of phase 2)
* Announcement of the results
