There are Live medias and installable medias for download.

The promo edition is a combination of both, but we do not want to waste storage on mirrors. This would be pure duplication, we would like to use this space for new stuff instead.

Short: It's a live version with KDE/GNOME, but you can also install it. 32bit only as always.

The DVD is made to promote openSUSE, especially on exhibitions and other events, local usergroups, schools, universities and so on. If you want some DVDs, send a mail with:

- exactly the subject "openSUSE 10.3 PromoDVDs", send it to marketing@opensuse.org. Because the promo DVD has way more than just a default KDE and a default GNOME. And the live CDs are contained verbatim on the promos.
