[opensuse-project] Marketing
"openSUSE" Drop the camel case, it's a pain to type over and over. In a modern search engine world, the keyword value of a name is more important than its capitalization. Germans seem to be fond of camel case (SuSE), but most of the world does not speak German. "opensuse" is better. No caps needed. Not even one. -- Web mail, POP3, and SMTP http://www.beewyz.com/freeaccounts.php -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

The name openSUSE is a trademark, and I find it vaguely remember the shape of the chameleon, with some imagination. :) My two cents: let's drop this discussion however, before it becomes something like the thread on independence, without the interesting topic. Someone saying something you don't agree with, must automatically be a "troll?" It is a pain typing that uppercase, and it adds no value to the keyword. It's an impractical, geeky approach to marketing. Socially inept geeks rarely understand marketing. Or how to talk to women. :-D -- Web mail, POP3, and SMTP http://www.beewyz.com/freeaccounts.php -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

In my opinion, it just "doesn't matter". Marketing has to be played somewhere else. And I don't have problems to talk to women ;-) Greetings. Agemen. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

I believe the opposite. Everything is related, directly, or indirectly. Microsoft shows that marketing wins vs. tech, but that doesn't mean they stop trying to improve their product. You want the best techs AND the best marketers. To succeed and gain market share, both groups must reach outside their comfort zone cliques, with ongoing efforts to understand the other group, and help support them. -- Web mail, POP3, and SMTP http://www.beewyz.com/freeaccounts.php -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

You are taking a small detail and making it the reason of the problems you see in the community. That's trolling(tm), it's not disagreeing. Bye, A. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
