[opensuse-project] WebYaST User Guide
I was asked by a new formed Linux Magazine to look for some great tools of the openSUSE project so that I can write some articles about them. I thought about OBS and WebYaST. I let someone else from the Greek community to make the OBS article due to his experience with that tool and I start looking for more information about it today and I found the webYaST user guide that was published today!!! I read it and it is a really great guide. Now I am thinking in making a Greek team to translate it so my question is when I will finish the translation where can I publish it? And if its possible to get informed about the changes that might become so that I can upgrade the translated guide. That's it for now Kostas -- http://opensuse.gr http://amb.opensuse.gr http://own.opensuse.gr http://warlordfff.tk me I am not me ------- Time travel is possible, you just need to know the right aliens -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org

Yeah, with our docs, we do release early and often through the docs.opensuse.org server.
Now I am thinking in making a Greek team to translate it so my question is when I will finish the translation where can I publish it?
Best is, as Luiz already said, join us on Berlios. If you have an account there, I'd suggest we create opensuse-doc/trunk/documents/webyast/gr for you. I'll help you get started. If you like, you can use this directly for the team, not only when you are finished. docs.opensuse.org currently build the english versions automatically. I like this ;-) We have, for pt_BR, the following full translated guides: * the quick guides (KDE, GNOME, AppArmor, Installation) * Startup Guide * GNOME User Guide Which will be interesting to have it online on doc.o.o. I made an account at Berlios and Kostas Boukouvalas(Greek localization team-leader) sent me the webyast.tar.gz yesterday so that I can start and today I almost finished the webyast-base-ui.el.po I am expecting some definitions on how to make a proper translation from him and it'll be ready soon, also I started and some other .po files. Now if you can tell me anything you think it can help me you are more than welcome... You could create the opensuse-doc/trunk/documents/webyast/gr and tell me how I can upload the files I finish. Kostas can also tell me that but he is having university exams and he is a bit difficult to reach and I don't want to bother him too much ;-)

I've created that. You best start by checking out the empty directory, using svn checkout svn+ssh://YOURNAME@svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/opensuse-doc/trunk/documents/webyast Replace YOURNAME with your login name. I probably need to add you to the team before you can do the checkout. The next commands are: cd webyast/gr tar xvf .../webyast.tar.gz svn add * svn ci -m 'initial checkin ...' It's a PDF file, you don't need to decode anything. Ok,well today I will probably make a visit because I just had good news from the only Greek Linux magazine and they want me to write two articles, one about KIWI and one about WebYaST for their next two issues so I will start with KIWI but I really want to learn as much as I can for WebYaST so that I will make a good presentation about it too. I am working with webYaST the past few days and I have a few questions about it and some presentations too, also I found some 'mistakes' on the wiki. But beware of me, I am a total newbie at all this ;-) Thanks Kostas

Now that 11.4 is released I have more time so that I finish at least
