Hi there, I don't know whether this has been raised before, I would like to know whether it could be possible to release 11.3 in the middle of September 2010,
As most of you know Software Freedom Day is in September, and having a fresh distro available at that time is usually a good idea, to introduce, people to Linux, I tried to see when some conferences and events take place, Most of them occur in the 2nd and 4th quarter of the year,
I know that to adjust a release cycle is a big thing, and requires lots of people to working together.
Just an idea Karl
Hi,
it seems too far, for me. If the event is in September, I think openSUSE should be released at most in the end of August.

Good idea to sync something but the release of 11.3 will be in July 2010 - we just went to a fixed 8month release cycle (see http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-project/2009-03/msg00029.html).
Btw. September has a lot of conferences and the Saturday of the first openSUSE conference this year will be Software Freedom Day - so, we do participate this time!
