Login to
news.opensuse.org is only possible if an admin has
created and account for you there, sorry.
The user who reported this in the forums wants to post a reply to
a post - is a login not needed for that?
No, commenting is open. Why does he think so?
Maybe we should have that explained somewhere -
otherwise, users
who might otherwise comment aren't thinking that they can.
It couldn't be more clear from the interface. Dunno how to explain
this better...
Ok... At the end of the comments section I see a section labeled
"Leave a Reply", which asks for my name, email, and website. I am
already logged in at opensuste forums and bugzilla, that is, the joint
attachmate, previously novell, authentication system.
Why does the
news.opensuse.org site wants that email data, which it
already knows? It makes no sense.
I'm bewildered.
I see a reply from you, with your photo. Other people from openSUSE
can not do that.
To me, the system at news.o,o is not working, since our login data is
not accepted, despite we are requested for our login at the top of the
page.
And no, I do not want to post or reply anything there. I learnt of the
issue on the same place where Jim Henderson did, we are both talking
on behalf of that user, but on different time zones.
