I did GSoC '13 under Joomla! for the project "Improve Form Fields" and currently volunteering as a Bug Sqad member. I don't know anything about Atril but that doesn't matter because I have already started using it and trying to understand its code base. I am familiar with ePub files and its reading system so IMO I can pursue this project and complete it on time with support of my mentor(s) and openSUSE community.
