Depends on the ISP. Mine, for instance, does not allow what you propose. I can only send with the address provided by the ISP and there is no procedure to add any other.
Even if Telefonica restricts the envelope address (a strict but not unreasonable anti-spam measure), you should be able to change the From: address. Try this script: http://files.jessen.ch/carlostest just run it with 'sh carlostest'.
