quite some time ago I started working on process to retire openSUSE Members that are no longer active.
Not sure what "active" is or was supposed to mean, but I've certainly been active on mailing lists and BOO, if not the Wiki. So I don't know why I'd have gotten an email about https://connect.opensuse.org/pg/profile/mrmazda inactivity. Maybe because I never bothered to configure usage of my @opensuse.org email addresses?
I sent out few initial mails, but then process stalled for some time. I finally believe that I fixed everything and I'm ready to make it happen. But even though I run several tests and everything seems fine there is still possibility that there are some bugs. So if you receive unjustified threatening mail, don't worry about it and let me know.
Brief recap, as discussed previously, it will move people who haven't been active for more than six months and haven't responded to any of the reminder e-mails to different group - openSUSE Members Emeritus. Those people will be notified vie their e-mail. If they want to keep membership, all they have to do is to respond to that mail, and they will be reinstated automatically after a short while. Currently this interval may be even more than a day as I'm running it manually to have thing a little bit more under control. Later on, after some more testing, reaction time will be reduced and whole thing will be let run unattended.
So this is mainly intended as a heads-up in case something goes wrong, but hopefully, nothing will.
