Hi,
I think something Manjaro-style would be great.
It could be an improvement in how we present the distribution and links to main resources (Wiki, Doc, Forum, Mailinglists), but we need also something that can drive the user to basic configuration stuff, directly from the desktop. That's the point. Take for example me, i'm an openSUSE user from 8 years and after installed 13.1 i was a little confused about network configuration. I used to setup network through YaST until now, this time we have also Network Manager, which i don't know why, It didn't work immediately (probably my mistake). PC-BSD guys have hit the point, simple questions and answers at first boot: Do you need to configure network? Go here and here [+ little screenshot of Network Manager]. Do you need to install video card drivers? Take a look at xx.opensuse.org/NVIDIA or AMD. and so on. Currently who is responsible for the Greeter?
