Without any investment into grooming a community of people who will
care of the application level, moving 'provider' solves nothing IMHO.
You can contribute to and take responsibility of our infrastructure
today (except the OS level), yet not many people do. Unless we as a
community find a solution to this problem and make our
sustainable by us, we will always depend on external people who will
have this as a huge priority. This is not healthy at all and a huge
threat to the openSUSE project.
Just my 2¢ for the gazillion'st time, I know it's irritating sorry...
p.s. We have this situation also in many other parts of our project.
think we rest too much on SUSE's good will for marketing, design,
conference organization, documentation etc.
I am not sure that I understand your message correctly, but what do you
suggest that we do about issues which you mentioned?
