Two questions to Tumbleweed:
1) I enabled Tumbleweed, gave it higher priority than other repos and did zypper dup. Many packages changed their vendors. Is it right to raise priority?
Just don't keep it a lower priority than your other repos, and you should be fine.
2) Tumbleweed now has a higher priority than Updates. Now I'm having trouble: Update notifier always shows pending updates (ethtool, yast2). Do I have to give updates a higher priority than Tumbleweed?
No, you shouldn't, there should not be any conflicts between "Updates" and "Tumbleweed". What specifically are you seeing here? Note that yast2 and a bunch of yast packages got removed from Tumbleweed a few days ago, so you will revert to the "updates" and "base 11.3" versions of them when doing a 'zypper dup' update.
I really would like to follow Tumbleweed. How do you set priorities?
I find it best to have no priorities on my repos, with only 11.3, 11.3:Updates, and Tumbleweed as repos, everything works fine. Hope this helps, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
