Hello guys,
After the poll results (community wants mint menu as default), I tried
with Benjamin to add mint menu. Here are the results so far.

Hello,
We had a poll about default menu on MATE. GNOME main menu or Mintmenu?
Here is the poll http://goo.gl/hzl53V
Today is the last day (Nov 15th).
The results are:
GNOME: 13 votes (34%)
Mint menu: 25 votes (66%)
So the community wants mint menu as default menu. GNOME will be
available to enable it.
If you want to help MATE team on testing it, please go to
https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:MATE
and see the communication channels with the team.
Most important for us is to report bugs, so we can fix them. Ask us
what and how to test (especially mint menu since it's something new).
Don't forget to have phun,
Stathis

Meeting summary
---------------
* Action Item Review (sysrich, 15:04:10)
* No action items from last meeting (sysrich, 15:04:18)
* Non-publically accessible Bug Reports (sysrich, 15:04:40)
* PJessen wrote the following into the openSUSE Project Meeting Agenda
- Proposed change in Bugzilla policy wrt duplicates of non-publicly
accessible reports. See my posting to opensuse-project from 13
October which went unanswered. I may not be able to attend the
meeting tomorrow, hence the following: it is a little annoying when
one's report is marked duplicate of something one cannot see. I
totally appreciate having two reports (sysrich, 15:05:53)
* Good discussion about the topic, some suggestions, but at the core,
this requires SUSE to change how they work internally, so Richard to
discuss inside SUSE (sysrich, 15:43:47)
* ACTION: Richard to discuss options for making SLE bugs more
publically visible within SUSE (sysrich, 15:43:58)
* Tumbleweed (sysrich, 15:44:12)
* Any other Business? (sysrich, 15:49:23)
* openSUSE are planning to have a summit co-located with SCALE in Los
Angeles in Feb 2015 (sysrich, 15:52:38)
* Tumbleweed - Take 2 (sysrich, 15:54:13)

http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2014-11/msg00120.html and
setup your OBS Project accordingly (sysrich, 16:15:26)
* Next Meeting (sysrich, 16:18:13)

Hi,
We've noticed your recent pushes to daps-test on GitHub. Brilliant!
We would love to learn about your feelings related to developing software. Are happy developers more creative? Do you need a manager to keep you disciplined?
We would appreciate it if you would spend around 15 minutes to complete a survey on developers' feelings. With your help, we can contribute to improving development practices and conditions for software developers.
Go to: https://www.esurveycreator.com/s/2da0bac
We are conducting an academic study (Universities of Helsinki, Finland and Bozen-Bolzano, Italy) to investigate how software developers feel when they develop software. We are contacting you because you provided a public e-mail address in your GitHub profile. Hopefully, this did not annoy you. We promise never to contact you again regarding this study without your authorization.
Your responses are voluntary and are kept strictly confidential. Responses will not be identified by individual. The information gathered through this survey will only be used for non-commercial, academic research purposes. Any published results will be based on anonymised data and it will not be possible to identify your individual responses.
At the end of the survey, you have the option to leave your email address if you wish to be contacted for some follow-up questions. This is completely optional. In case you decide to leave your e-mail address, we will not disclose your personal information or contact details to anybody.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Daniel Graziotin (see below).
Thank you in advance,

Hi, guys! Let me share some thoughts (not too much though) about GSoC
2014 Mentors Summit Reunion.
- Google made an awesome job making this possible for people to
participate - this is really great
selection of nice(mostly) people withing great environment :)
- Summit itself been very relaxed and enjoyable.
- Great America amusement park visit was hilarious!
- Tech talk with Linus Torvalds & Dirk Hohndel (ex SUSE emp.) [2]
was quite a nice surprise
especially by fact that Dirk started his speech with words like
"...back then at SUSE"
- Un-conferenced format also brought a lot of nice talks and
conversations
- Really funny meme of "Most Desirable Organization" [3]
- Unfortunately, because of the number of participants it has been moved
from Google campus to
San Jose Marriott hotel which is nice, but not the "campus", definitely.
- It is indeed very nice opportunity to present openSUSE to broad
selection of IT guys.
I had great opportunity to make some conversations about what we do
and how green we are :)
- What I was missing and somehow that was my mistake - prepare and
provide some openSUSE swag for the crowd.
They had stickers exchange table, and chocolate/tea room. Stickers
are awesome way to appear on many laptops
around the globe. So next year that should be a requirement for our
participants to take *a lot of openSUSE swag* with
them and share that with the crowd:-)
- I will add a wiki page to [1] about Summit itself - its traditions and
guidelines for our participants(also will consult with
Douglas on that matter)
Ciao!
