I have three computers new enough to have fully functional acpi when
using Win-XP(spit), but all three have very different buggy DSDT's,
and none of them work correctly with the current Linux acpi, apart
from booting and powering off. That is all I really require of Linux
acpi since I only use them while they are plugged in, and I am quite
happy to wait patiently for the promised generic solution to the acpi
problem. The question I have is whether or not filing detailed bug
reports for all three computers would help or hinder the effort. (The
acpi team has a daunting task ahead of them given the buggy DSDT's
manufacturers continue to ship, and flooding them with more
information might just slow them down it occurs to me).
