Hello, I seem to have acceleration running fine with 7.1 and latest Linux kernel with latest Xfree but the OpenGL features of XMMS no longer work. As far as I know all the latest Mesa libs are intsalled. What should I be looking for to fix this. Best Regards, Ola Olsson

Hmm, wait for my "Its fixed." mail. :) There are a few fixes needed for the -3 release. I'm at -5 right now. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...

It works here, did you follow these instructions? http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/olh_ppc_71_xf410.html The "libogl_spectrum.so" eats all CPU power for some reasons, I dont know if that is normal.. What error do you get? There is a bug in the release 3. You have to reinstall the xf86_glx.rpm after the "switch2xf86_glx" call. It removes you the dri and glx extension. Use the "--force" option in rpm. I just noticed that the 2.4.6-pre3 kernel locks up on a G3 or G4 with a G3 motherboard with alsa. dmasound should work, but you need external speakers. mol is also not available.. bummer. I hope to fix these bugs tomorrow. Gruss Olaf -- $ man clone BUGS Main feature not yet implemented...
Hi, I want to buy a Geforce MX2 for my PowerMac G4 466. Is it possible to use it with SuSE Linux PPC 7.1. (Acceleration (2D) and (3D) included?). And the second question: My Apple Pro Speakers (external) are quiet. Only the external speakers at the headphone out jack are working. Any idea how to fix it? Also volume control is not working. (gmixer s.o.) Nevertheless SuSE Linux PPC is fantastic. Thanks Uwe.
